Fall Sports Update

Willows Academy’s fall sports are in full swing! Read below to read a mid-season update on our varsity and middle school fall athletics.

The High School Cross Country season is off to a great start! Varsity Cross-Country had two 1st place finishes at Lake Forest Academy meets, as well as a 1st place finish at the Resurrection tri-meet. The team knew they would be rebuilding this year because they graduated 3 seniors from our state qualifying team last season. Our Eagles have stepped up to the challenge! The team is led by top runners Emily Elder ’24, Emilia Kryzcak ’26 and Jane Potter ’25.

The High School Volleyball Team (pictured left) is halfway through their season. The JV Team (right) has 22 players while Varsity has 14 players. The JV record is currently 6W – 4L, while Varsity is 5W-4L.

Our Varsity Tennis program is going strong in its third year. Last week, our Eagles defeated Elgin Academy and this week they beat Beacon Academy. The team is looking strong as they head into IHSA Sectionals!
