It is with great pleasure that Willows Athletics announces Morgan Jahnke as the new head coach of the Eagles Basketball program.
Coach Jahnke was the Head JV Basketball Coach for the past 5 years. She was a successful and dedicated coach. She brought consistency to the JV program and assisted at the Varsity level alongside previous Head Coach Jodi Marver. Off the court, Coach Jahnke is an educator for CPS.
Jahnke’s expectations are reasonable, and her explanations are clear. She looks forward to taking the program to an IHSA 2A Regional Title. She has shown a wonderful ability to connect with kids of all ages, experiences and interests. She invests deeply in her relationships, and gets the most out of those who she interacts with. She will continue to build upon the relationships she has with the returning players and parents.
The Athletic Director, Rachel Meiner, says “Coach Jahnke provides an encouraging and positive environment to our team. She challenges the girls to be the best they can be. I look forward to the continuation of our strong basketball program with this smooth transition.” Coach Jahnke will host a summer camp, take the team to the Purdue University Camp, participate in the Loyola summer league and host a summer shootout.
Coach Jahnke states, “I’m beyond excited to step into the role of being Willows Head Varsity Coach! It’s an incredible honor, and I can’t wait to lead this talented group and make some unforgettable memories on and off the court. Let’s keep the momentum going from last season! Go Eagles!”
